Tess Burnett

I am proud to be a late bloomer, having started writing seriously in my late fifties. I'm the author of two self-published books: The Hanging of Hettie Gale, a mystery with elements of history, paranormal and romance; and Starstone, the first book of a fantasy trilogy. I'm currently working on Book of Smiles, a novel which explores people and places, and have recently started writing short stories and poetry. I live in the mountains of Kerry, inspired by the beautiful landscape and Irish myths and legends. Tess Burnett - author website https://spark.adobe.com/page/uyrsVb8ylY71T/

Lucy Martin

Hi, my name is Lucy, and I am a nineteen-year-old aspiring author from Australia. I have been writing short stories since I was around six, and to this day I thoroughly enjoy the creativity that accompanies the writing process. I am currently undergoing an intensive period of writing a short story every day, and I have seen major improvements in my work as a result. I upload these all to my Kofi at https://ko-fi.com/lucymartin and I post about them on my Twitter @lucydoeswriting. Storytelling is my passion, and I am very excited to be putting my work out there, especially for the incredible cause that Bibliophone is supporting!

Nick Lord Lancaster writes short fiction based on pieces of classical music and things he finds out from Wikipedia. His work has been published in The Puritan, Paragraph Planet, FlashBack Fiction, Maudlin House and elsewhere. He lives in Essex with his wife and two daughters (one human, one canine). Dea Dhrami

My name is Dea Dhrami, and I’m a 30-year-old Italian with Albanian origins. Since childhood, I’ve always enjoyed reading and writing. In 2012, I won the Italian Literary Contest “Lo Scrittoio” with the essay “From Yellow to Black Gold”, in which I analyzed Africa’s energy exploitation by Western Countries. I lived in different places, including Dubai, where I was inspired to write “Desert of Gold”, a fiction novel addressing the issues of expatriation through the perspectives of three distinct social classes. I published “Desert of Gold” on Amazon in 2018. This year, during lockdown, I completed my second novel “The Alien Coming from The Sea”, narrating the story of Samir Ben Ali, a fictional Moroccan boy who struggles to accept his origins and to integrate in a new country. The book is loosely based on my own experience as an immigrant and hasn’t been published yet. When I’m not writing, I work in International Business in Paris, France. Lori Shepard

Lori Shepard is an adventurous, laughter-loving world traveler who loves all things books. Two of her short stories have been published in the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" collections. Her favorite things are reading to kids in the library, or chilling with her cat while watching copious amounts of British television. She currently lives in Melbourne, Florida, where she teaches and performs Improv Comedy whenever possible to whomever will watch.

Julie Evans

I am a writer from Guildford. After bringing up my (now grown-up) children, I turned to writing three years ago. I have an Oxford degree in History and have recently completed my MA in Creative Writing at Surrey University. I have won a number of short story and flash fiction competitions and my work can be found online and in several anthologies, such as the Reflex Fiction and Bath Flash Fiction books. One of my crime stories featured as the centrefold of the Daily Mirror this year, selected by Val McDermid. I have also featured in an anthology of The Historical Writers' Association. My work has been recorded and performed previously. I have written a time-shift children's mystery/adventure book for 9-12 year olds, but so far haven't managed to find an agent. My passions are history, genealogy, maps, landscapes and anything that has an element of mystery. I love all kinds of books, but am especially keen on Gothic fiction.
