I started reading and writing books when I was small and haven’t looked up from the pages yet. My writing is fulled by an obsessive love of literacy and admiration of the whimsical.

about the narrator
My name is Katrin Vankova and I am an actress and artist born in Bulgaria and raised in Barcelona. I was five when my parents decided to look for new opportunities, so we all took the car, which was our home for a whole month and decided to try something new in Spain. There is where I found the magic and the powerful feeling of acting. I started studying drama at the age of eighteen in different drama schools in Barcelona and at the same time working professionally in both audiovisual and theatre fields. My last project is “Justice”, a play performed at the big room of the National Theatre in Barcelona. I also participate in the new Amazon UK series “Alex Rider” based on the books and produced by Sony. I’ve been part of different Spanish series like “La fossa”, “Com si fos ahir”, “Nit i dia” and also in the international one “Snatch”. “This is the wind” was my first feature film, a movie based on a true story about two girls with eating disorders. I had the opportunity to create this story among the actors Alex Brendemühl, Laia Manzanares and Anna Alarcón, and we had the chance to present it at the Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn. I’ve been also part from different independent short films and music videos like the last one “Tota Pulchra” for Tarta Relena directed by the Goya award winning Irene Moray. Last year I was selected as the only Spanish actress for the Berlinale Talents Programm 2019 and also received the Blood Red Carpet award as a promising actress at Sitges Film Festival 2018. A part from acting, I’ve always been a big creative lover so I founded a digital magazine called EL FILM MAGAZINE where I give voice to artists that inspire me from film, music, fashion, photography and art, showing their essence and human part beyond “the product” we consume. My big passion in photography is accompanied by my pseudonym “Matilda was here” under which I try to capture people and random daily moments, which is what inspires me the most.

Charming little tale by Roseanna Leary on 1 November 2020
A beautifully written short story set in a kind of post apocalyptic fantasy world. Superbly narrated too.

Touching story with surprising depth by Jada Lee-Brinkell on 28 October 2020
I loved this story for its scene setting and for the characters brought to life so well in the writing style, which is simultaneously mature and playful. Bubbles is entirely oiriginal (at least so far as I know) and will leave you smiling one moment, frowning in reflection the next.
