1000 words heard for the Scottish Refugee Council: terms of entry
1. You need to make your donation by Wednesday 31 March 2021. Your 1000 word story must be submitted by two weeks later on Wednesday 14 April 2021.
2. To enter this competition you first need to donate your entry fee of £6/$6/€6/AU$6/CAN$6 to the charity the Scottish Refugee Council. You can do this at the designated JustGiving page here. Once you have made your donation please complete the form on the competition entry page before the closing date and time. Bibliophone will not profit in any way from the funds raised for this competition.
3. Entries must be a maximum of 1000 words. Anything above this will not be permitted (sorry but that is the point of the competition!)
4. Entrants must own the rights to their work. While it may be published elsewhere in written format, there must not be a published audio version already available and any existing publishing platform must also accept in their terms that your work be published elsewhere.
5. Entrants retain the rights to their work, and the winning entry will be narrated by our guest narrator for publication here at Bibliophone. The winning entrant may link to their prize on any platform and publish it on their platform, but it cannot be offered for sale anywhere. Any platform on which it is published must accept in its terms that the work is already published elsewhere.
6. Bibliophone retains the right to host the winning story indefinitely.
7. Entries will be judged by BIBLIOPHONE and the guest narrator may have a final say.
8. The judges’ decision is final.
9. There is no cash prize alternative.
10. Adult content is permitted but please note that if the winning entry features adult content it will be noted as such. Please refer to the Bibliophone Terms of Use for more information and our policy on graphic content.
11. Bibliophone reserves the right to use any marketing channels available to publicise the competition and the winning entry (this is good for you!)
12. Bibliophone is not affiliated with JustGiving and you should adhere to their terms and conditions when accessing the JustGiving wesbite. Bibliophone is not responsible for external websites so please make sure you understand their terms and conditions.
13. Bibliophone’s normal Terms of Use apply to all work published.
